Introduction: We have a brand-new opportunity for a Customer Service Assistant to join a super friendly team based in Cheltenham, working with an award-winning travel operator. The role will involve dealing with a wide range of customer enquiries, requests and complaints, pre and post travel, so this is a fast paced and varied role, where no two days will be the same!

Our ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience ideally from within the travel sector, however this is not essential as full training will be given.
This is a full-time, office-based position, Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm with approximately 1 in 6 Saturdays (with a day off in the week.)

Role of Customer Service Assistant:
- Dealing with a range of customer enquiries, requests, and complaints while customers are on holiday, as well as by phone, email, and letter pre and post-holiday.
- Make outbound calls to customers in response to changes made by the Transport Team to the pickup location on a customer’s booking.
- Take shared responsibility across the team of the management and action of Room Requests, keeping within agreed SLAs
- Make outbound calls to customers who have requested a call back through the email channels, ensuring that any sales leads are passed to the Reservations sales team
- Taking overflow calls for the reservations team when busy.
- Ensure optimum performance to achieve the highest customer service standards so that all customer contacts are resolved first time every time, within agreed timescales.
- Record and feedback trends to the Team Leader and Head of Customer Contact.
Skills required for the role:
- Experience in a similar customer service role
- Travel industry experience would be an advantage
- Fast learner with excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate
- Decisive and quick thinking
- First class organisational skills
