Introduction: We have a brand new opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the growing team of a leading Chester based travel organisation. The Finance Assistant will work as part of the Management Accounts team within the Finance function and the team is responsible for various tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow, payroll, reporting and production of management reports.

The role aims to provide support across all areas and will suit an experienced finance assistant, perhaps with an interest in the travel sector.

Please note - this is a full-time position based in our client’s Chester office where you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm.

Role of Finance Assistant:

  • Accounts payable – logging and processing purchase invoices
  • Accounts receivable – raising sales ledger invoices
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Overhead analysis
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting in management accounts production

Skills required for the role:

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ideally would have experience with a Sage accounting system
  • Previous finance experience is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of double entry accounting
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
