We have a brand new opportunity for a Business Travel Supervisor to join a fast-moving, City based Business Travel Agency, managing a small team of experienced Business Travel Consultants and offering an efficient and high touch service to corporate clients in the Financial sector.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience within the business travel sector, good motivational and leadership skills and proficiency with Galileo and Sabre. Experience with financial or banking accounts would also be advantageous and in return, our client are offering a highly competitive £42k salary plus financial incentives. There is also an excellent benefits package, including a generous holiday allowance, industry discounts, enhanced contributory pension plan, reduced corporate gym membership, health cover, fresh fruit in the office, monthly team lunches and other staff events plus training and development opportunities.

Role of Business Travel Supervisor:

The day-to-day management of a team servicing a dedicated client base
Advising on and arranging all aspects of travel and related services
Ensuring operational deadlines and SLAs are met
Managing change, undertaking appraisals and feeding back on performance
Ensure compliance with all client requests and that all bookings meet quality standards
Auditing quotations, booking files, client communication and other documentation.

Skills required for the role:

Extensive experience within the business travel sector, ideally in a supervisory position
Proficiency with Galileo and Sabre
Good motivational and leadership skills
Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
Experience with financial or banking clients would be an advantage

Never used an agency before and for my first time I couldn’t be more impressed! I took a 7 year hiatus from the Travel industry to develop my skills in a completely different role. Unfortunately, that came to an abrupt end through to insolvency and it knocked me sideways as I was climbing the career ladder.

Decided to explore the option of getting back into the travel industry as I’ve got 17 years of specialist experience within the luxury tailored holidays and cruise sectors. My concern was how employers would respond from being mid level management to wanting to be back on the front line consulting. I was unexpectedly made redundant very recently and with Christmas coming up, was in a bit of a panic.
