Our client, a global, multi award-winning Business Travel agency, are recruiting for an International Head of Specialist Travel to join their management team. The role is responsible for ensuring the Global Travel Hub has the capabilities and knowledge to deliver great Groups Travel and Meetings & Events services to our client’s US, UK and European customers.
The International Head of Specialist Travel is responsible for developing and driving a global strategy for service delivery working across Product, IT, Finance and Commercial teams to control cost, reduce complexity and drive growth and revenue.
This is a fantastic opportunity which will suit a strong leader, who’s comfortable collaborating at all levels including CEO and Exec level and who has experience of working across and delivering change in multiple markets including the US and Europe.

Please note – this role is fully homebased.
Role of International Head of Specialist Travel:
- Managing a team of individuals offering Groups Travel, including flights, accommodation, meetings and events, meetings facilities and tours.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify new products and services for our client’s Groups market.
- Reviewing performance, revenue, and sales data to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
- Understanding the strategic direction of the business to anticipate future developments within the Specialist Travel Team.
- Aligning with the Revenue and Loss Manager to measure and control losses and track revenue against targets.
- Collaborating with Account Managers and Commercial Sales Teams to delight customers with service and drive the growth agenda for specialist travel.
- Partner with Commercial, Finance and product to identify opportunities for Specialist Travel offerings.
- Documenting processes and customer policies to reduce servicing complexity utilising existing technology and introducing new technologies around Specialist Travel booking tools.
- Working across Global Operations in alignment with the Global Head of Operations, and Global Head of Support Services to drive the agenda of the business.
- Working with the Product Team to develop new offerings for specialist travel.
Skills required for the role:
- A clear knowledge of the Groups Travel product and services
- Great process knowledge across travel and the ability to adapt that knowledge to new areas of the business.
- Experience as a coach, manager and leader with a proven ability to clearly communicate and inspire
- A proven track record in developing team members to deliver bigger performance outcomes
- A highly commercial mindset and know how to drive revenue
- Experience working across cultures and with remote teams
- Great data analytic skills and able to identify actionable insights
- Project management experience
