We have a brand new and fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Travel Consultant to join a very and friendly and close-knit team, within a highly service-driven, independent Business Travel agency based in Stockport.

Our client has a diverse customer base and the role will see the successful candidate organising itineraries for athletes and spectators at the world’s top motorsport events, to co-ordinating business people across continents for day to day travel, conferences and corporate events. Previous experience within a business travel consultant role is essential for the position, along with exceptional customer service skills and of course, good working knowledge of a GDS.

Role of Senior Business Travel Consultant:

  • Working with a diverse range of travel accounts
  • Booking all travel requirements including accommodation, air and sea travel.
  • Handling all enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Working well both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Building rapport and long-lasting relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues

Skills required for the role:

  • Previous experience as a business travel consultant
  • Excellent rapport and relationship building skills
  • Customer focused with good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Worldwide geography
  • Strong working knowledge of a GDS
  • A professional manner and keen attention to detail

I took a 7 year hiatus from the Travel industry to develop my skills in a completely different role. Unfortunately, that came to an abrupt end through to insolvency and it knocked me sideways as I was climbing the career ladder.
