We have a new role with a global Business Travel agency as they recruit for a Strategic Business Development Manager to join their team. The Strategic Business Development Manager will be responsible for delivering a complete pipeline solution to meet budgeted revenue and margin targets set for their pipeline through the delivery of effective prospecting growth, long-term partnership development, and engagement plans.
Our client’s ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a sales/business development role within the travel sector and will need to demonstrate a dynamic approach to business development, with high energy and charisma.
In return, they can offer a basic salary of up to £50k, a substantial un-capped OTE that accelerates for above target performance, car allowance of £5k, extensive benefits and excellent career development opportunities.

Role of Strategic Business Development Manager:
- Identifying and delivering customer solutions that build long term partnership opportunities.
- Investigating industry trends and customer data to identify new prospects and revenue streams.
- Targeting product mix changes that maximise on pipeline opportunities and new revenue.
- Active engagement with decision makers and influencers users across the target organisation.
- Reviewing the prospect profitability as part of the pipeline quality development.
- Developing and implementing improvement action plans, tracking results and performance.
- Efficiently prospecting for potential new clients using multiple channels including cold calls, networking, tender sites, and referrals.
- Preparing concise and effective presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
- Presenting to prospective clients in a considered and professional manner.
- Routinely tracking activities through the corporate CRM tool and submitting scheduled reports.
- Identify market trends and monitor competitor product and pricing.
Skills required for the role:
- Proven track record in a similar sales/business development role.
- Travel industry experience.
- Demonstrate a dynamic approach to business development.
- Keen to drive business performance, successful customer solutions, and personal success.
- Ability to build credibility and influence others to effectively manage senior customers.
- Experience of working within a highly competitive market.
- Commercially focussed and strategically minded.
- Highly organised and structured approach.
