Role of Cruise Customer Service Consultant:

Offering support to the cruise sales team, dealing with both pre and post-sales queries
Arranging special requests and add-ons
Confidently upsell on bookings once they’ve been confirmed
Dealing with any changes/amendments
Offering empathy whilst displaying listening skills
Resolving any client issues or complaints, escalating as necessary
Dealing within any ad hoc administration tasks as required

Skills required for the role:

Previous travel industry experience, preferably within a customer service environment
Good working knowledge of the cruise sector and online booking systems
Organised and professional with good attention to detail
Ability to work to targets
Strong team player

I was unexpectedly made redundant very recently and with Christmas coming up, was in a bit of a panic.
