They're now recruiting for an Aviation Executive to join their growing team and this is an exciting opportunity for GDS trained candidates with good working knowledge of manual fare construction and airline fare rules and experience in dealing with airline contracts.

Reporting to the Flights Administration Manager, you’ll have responsibility alongside colleagues in the Flights Team for ensuring the provision of an exemplary customer experience in relation to the flight elements of their holiday bookings.

Role of Aviation Executive:

Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution in relation to flight elements of the customer booking
Working alongside other departments in relation to the handling of customer complaints relating to flights from receipt to resolution
Manage the queues within the GDS system Issuing all tickets within the time limit set by the airline
Managing involuntary flight schedule changes, updating PNR’s and overcoming any issues that may have occurred as a result of the change
Re-issuing tickets both automated or manually
Dealing with IT / BT net tickets and published fares
Cancelling and refunding tickets and updating files to ensure everything is correct
Issuing EMD’s for all manner of extras
Contacting airlines to help solve problems and /or help with issues
Support the sales team with help on itineraries, pricing and obtaining the best fares
Provide weekly BSP reports and answer queries that may arise
Refiling/rebooking of flights in order to obtain the best price

Skills required for the role:

Minimum of 3 years working knowledge of a GDS, including fares, revalidations, re-issues and refunds
Previous experience within a Flights/Aviation Executive role or similar
Good verbal and written communication and confident speaking with customers
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Accustomed to working to deadlines and in a fast-paced business environment
Highly organised and motivated
Good geographical and product knowledge of destinations, cities and airlines
Good working knowledge of manual fare construction and airline fare rules applicable to the issuance of tickets
Experience in dealing with airline contracts
