Our client is a fast growing, specialist Tour Operator with ambitions to become market leaders within the next 5 years and are looking for a talented Customer Success & Operations Specialist to join the team and help get them there! You won’t be a cog in a machine – they’re a small, collaborative team and you’ll contribute to many areas of the business.
You’ll look after your customers from the moment they book their trip until they’ve returned home. You’ll collaborate with the sales team to understand the customer journey, their dreams and aspirations, and the trip they have booked. You’ll answer customer queries, ensure they have all the travel documents they need, and work with our international partners to ensure everything runs smoothly on the ground.
But you’ll go beyond these basics to delight customers - this might mean arranging surprise gifts/add-ons during their trip, sharing tips and advice they won’t find online, or spearheading new customer service initiatives.
This is a varied role and you’ll also contribute to other areas of the business, including supporting our client’s marketing efforts with the development of website content, and supporting sales with quote preparation during busy periods.
Previous customer service experience within the travel industry is essential for this, along with at least two years of working with African tourism. This is a fully homebased role, so you’ll need to be comfortable working from home and with autonomy.

Role of Customer Success & Operations Specialist:

Skills required for the role:
- At least 2 years working in a customer service or customer success role within the travel sector - essential
- At least 2 years working within African tourism - essential
- Experience managing trips to Tanzania, Kenya, and/or Uganda is a significant plus.
- You have experience working with the US market (99% of customers are from the US).
- You can demonstrate a long list of happy customers!
