We’re looking for a Head of Product, for a new and fantastic opportunity with a fast-growing Tour Operator based in the West Midlands. This a pivotal role, as the product growth and customer deliverables are vital for the strategic growth and profitability of the business and the successful candidate will take total responsibility for all aspects of the product offering.
Our client is looking for proven ability in developing and delivering strategic targets, with strong knowledge of the travel industry and the ability to drive change, provide strong leadership and build effective relationships across the business.

Role of Head of Product:
- Design Value Proposition strategy and lead on the development of new product offering which adds value and enable growth of the global travel product across the business
- Maintain and strengthen Product Management & Framework
- Manage product approval process in line with the Group strategic objectives, risk appetite, commercials, and timeframes
- Lead on standardisation of product
- Manage market watch & insights (market trends, opportunities, competitors) and develop strategies to maximise our product positioning
- Build relationships with Senior stakeholders around the business in such areas as Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Customer Experience
- Establish synergies with the Marketing team to build affiliate partners
- Ensure efficiencies in processes and deliveries across the Product landscape
- Manage a small team of Product Executives/Senior Executives to enable delivery of tasks and responsibilities
Skills required for the role:
- Proven track record of achieving product targets within the travel sector - essential
- Detailed understanding of group travel
- Strong collaboration / interpersonal skills, with excellent presentation skills
- Strong research skills and the ability to evaluate internal and external information.
- Experience of designing and delivering growth strategies
- A track record of delivering incremental product improvements & innovations
- The ability to develop business cases and manage concepts through to successful launch
- Experience of managing people and developing high performance teams
- Good understanding of customer behaviour and is comfortable with providing insight to develop business performance. Market research analysis would also be an essential part of job role
- Self-motivated, able to plan and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines.
