Salary and benefits: £19,000 plus excellent benefits

Night Owls, this brand new Home-based OOH Travel Support Consultant role is the perfect position for you, whether you’ve a partner who works nights, or perhaps you struggle with early morning starts and want to move away from the 9-5, or if you just enjoy the relative peace of working at night!

Working a shift pattern including Monday to Saturday evenings/overnights and Sundays, the role involves handling after hours queries, whether that be problems with check in, schedule changes and amendments or issues in resort.

Previous travel industry experience, the ability to remain calm under pressure and proficiency with a GDS are essential for the role and ticketing knowledge would be advantageous, but isn’t essential. Role of Home-based OOH Travel Support Consultant:

Working a variety of evening, overnight and Sunday daytime shifts
Providing after hours travel customer support
Dealing with a variety of queries ranging from check in problems to issues in-resort
Making amendments, schedule changes and reissues
Handling each query in a timely, efficient and professional manner
Remaining calm under pressure and offering creative solutions

Skills required for the role:

Previous travel industry experience
Proficiency with a GDS - essential
Ticketing experience would be an advantage
Strong customer service skills
Problem solving skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Highly organised with keen attention to detail

She listened carefully to what I wanted out of a new job, and norrowed down a few select agencies for me to interview with (rather than sending anything that vaguely matched my criteria, which a lot of agencies do.)

I ended up with some offers quickly and joined the one I was most excited about in a couple of weeks. So far it's been fatastic, and exactly what I was looking for.
