We have a fantastic opportunity for candidates with specialist knowledge of the Indian Ocean, to join a luxury travel organisation based in Cheshire as they grow their reservations team.

Using your expert travel industry knowledge and personal travel experience to this region, your role will be to create bespoke holidays, including independent and cultural tours, detailed travel itineraries and exotic multi-centre stays. By listening carefully to your customers' needs and offering an exceptional level of service at all times, you'll ensure sure they're able to experience their perfect trip!

The role will also involve sourcing and implementing new products and negotiation with suppliers to secure the most competitive rates.

Our client is able to offer 25 - 30 hours per week and can offer a fully office based option, flexi-homeworking or it can be fully homebased. There's a highly competitive salary plus excellent commission structure and other excellent industry benefits including long haul familiarisation trips.

Role of Indian Ocean Travel & Product Specialist:

Dealing with face-to-face enquiries and also by phone and email
Creating bespoke, long haul travel itineraries throughout the Indian Ocean
Giving expert advice and recommendations from your own extensive travel experience
Offering an excellent standard of customer service at all times
Sourcing and implementing new products
Negotiation with suppliers to secure the most competitive rates.

Skills required for the role:

A high level of customer care and sales experience gained within the travel sector
A genuine passion and enthusiasm for the travel industry
In-depth product knowledge of the Indian Ocean
Good commercial awareness
Resourceful, with the ability to deliver to meet the clients’ brief
A friendly and positive attitude
Ability to work hard individually and as a member of a supportive team

I took a 7 year hiatus from the Travel industry to develop my skills in a completely different role. Unfortunately, that came to an abrupt end through to insolvency and it knocked me sideways as I was climbing the career ladder.

Decided to explore the option of getting back into the travel industry as I’ve got 17 years of specialist experience within the luxury tailored holidays and cruise sectors. My concern was how employers would respond from being mid level management to wanting to be back on the front line consulting. Cheryl made the journey enjoyable and presented 2 fantastic companies that both gave me the offers.

She guided me with interview techniques as usually it’s been word of mouth and recommendation for me in the past. Very efficient with guidance notes and following up for feedback after each interview. She actually made the process effortless.

Working with Rachel the director was a pleasure, almost felt like we knew each other from a different life. Very approachable.

From the 7th October I’ve done a full U-Turn and heading back to the industry that I’ve always been passionate about thanks to the Lovely Cheryl Webb and Rachel Wigley.
