We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Ticketing Supervisor to join a leading Tour Operator and play a key role within their busy Reservations Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ticketing professional who enjoys being hands-on, supporting colleagues and taking ownership. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day ticketing operation, ensuring the team delivers an accurate, efficient and consistently high level of service.
As a key point of contact within the team, you'll provide guidance and support, manage escalated queries and help ensure workloads, deadlines and service standards are consistently met. You'll also take ownership of schedule changes and operational issues, using your expertise to find solutions and keep everything running smoothly.
Ticketing and GDS experience is essential, along with previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a tour operations environment.

Role of Tour Operations Ticketing Supervisor:
- Lead, support and motivate the team, providing day-to-day guidance and ensuring workloads are effectively managed and priorities are clear.
- Oversee the ticketing operation, ensuring all queues, including schedule changes, general, web, native and re-issues, are kept up to date and actioned within agreed timescales.
- Monitor team activity and performance, ensuring all queues are checked at the end of each day and tickets are issued accurately and on time.
- Keep ahead of fare and industry changes, monitoring fuel, tax and fare increases and ensuring agents and clients are notified promptly and deadlines are met.
- Support BSP Ticket Audits, helping identify, investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Take ownership of schedule changes, ensuring agents and customers are advised promptly and all necessary action is completed efficiently.
- Act as the team's escalation point, using your expertise to resolve complex ticketing and operational queries and provide guidance to colleagues.
- Support the team during disruption, liaising with the Crisis Team when airline disruption affects passengers and ensuring contingency plans are followed.
- Oversee refunds and ADM's, ensuring airline and E-tracker refunds are processed accurately and within agreed guidelines
- Support rebooking requirements, including flights, hotels and transfers, ensuring customers are looked after throughout the process.
- Champion accuracy and service, ensuring high standards of customer service, compliance and attention to detail are maintained across the team.
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and the overall customer experience.
- Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis and cover periods of sickness when required.
Skills required for the role:
- Supervisory or team leadership airline ticketing experience within a tour operations environment - essential.
- Proficiency with a GDS.
- Strong knowledge of airline ticketing, schedule changes, refunds and reissues.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
- The confidence to support colleagues, manage escalations and make decisions when required.
- The ability to remain calm, professional and decisive in a fast-paced and highly pressurised environment.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise both your own workload and the wider team's requirements.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to take ownership and see issues through to resolution.
