Our client can offer full training and a competitive starting salary of £22k, rising to £24k following successful completion of your probationary period and other excellent travel industry benefits.

Role of Trainee/Graduate Product Manager:

Supporting the Product Manager in negotiating market leading rates, exclusive offers and availability with suppliers
Aiding in the creation of the product strategy for designated destinations
Completing market research, competitor analysis and product performance reviews
Supporting in the development and management of supplier relationships across a range of product types and across a range of international destinations
Ensuring our client’s Product remains competitive through analysis of rates versus competition, and the follow-up required with suppliers
Helping to ensure all designated Product lines and suppliers adhere to full Health and Safety requirements
Supporting the sales teams with product training and information

Skills required for the role:

Travel sector experience or a Travel related degree - essential
Good geographical knowledge and ideally, some worldwide personal travel experience
Good analytical skills
Creative and able to communicate well
Willingness to learn and ambitious to develop a career within the travel sector

I took a 7 year hiatus from the Travel industry to develop my skills in a completely different role. Unfortunately, that came to an abrupt end through to insolvency and it knocked me sideways as I was climbing the career ladder.

Decided to explore the option of getting back into the travel industry as I’ve got 17 years of specialist experience within the luxury tailored holidays and cruise sectors. My concern was how employers would respond from being mid level management to wanting to be back on the front line consulting. Cheryl made the journey enjoyable and presented 2 fantastic companies that both gave me the offers.

She guided me with interview techniques as usually it’s been word of mouth and recommendation for me in the past. Very efficient with guidance notes and following up for feedback after each interview. She actually made the process effortless.

Working with Rachel the director was a pleasure, almost felt like we knew each other from a different life. Very approachable.

From the 7th October I’ve done a full U-Turn and heading back to the industry that I’ve always been passionate about thanks to the Lovely Cheryl Webb and Rachel Wigley.
