Introduction: Our client, an award-winning, independent travel agency, is looking for two experienced Travel Consultants to join their busy branches across Leicestershire. This is a varied role where you’ll work across four local branches, providing support and cover during busy periods, holidays and sickness. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a customer-focused environment.

Role of Retail Travel Consultant:

  • Provide expert travel advice and outstanding customer service
  • Convert enquiries into bookings and achieve sales targets
  • Sell package holidays, cruises, dynamic packages, city breaks and tailor-made itineraries
  • Use industry booking systems and supplier platforms
  • Build strong customer relationships and generate repeat business
  • Keep up to date with destinations, products and travel trends
  • Support the wider team across the four branches

Skills required for the role:

  • Proven experience in a retail travel agency
  • Strong sales skills and a track record of achieving targets
  • Experience booking holidays through tour operators, suppliers or dynamic packaging platforms
  • Excellent destination knowledge

I contacted Succeed after seeing a vacancy that was of interest.

Cheryl picked up my CV on the Monday morning and called me first thing, after a brief chat about some of the opportunities available we decided to send of a couple of applications.

Cheryl then contacted me again on Tuesday with another vacancy (that don’t come up very often) that ticked all the boxes, by afternoon had secured an interview for me on the Thursday. The following Tuesday Cheryl calls with a job offer. One week from start to finish!
